Answer: With few exceptions, the Library of Congress does not own copyright in the materials in its collections and does not grant or deny permission to use the content mounted on its website.

Answer: The copyright in a work reverted to the author, if living, or if the author was not living, to other specified beneficiaries, provided a renewal claim was registered in the 28th year of the original term.
Question: Does a foreign publisher need to submit our publication to comply with the U.S. deposit requirement?
Answer: Yes. If you distribute your work in the United States, you are subject to the deposit requirements of the United States.
